- Hi! I'm the Mel behind "Mel's Bells Cloche Hats" :). I've been crocheting, knitting and sewing for over 20 years and learned these crafts from my grandmother. I instantly fell in love with yarn when she showed me some exquisitely soft pale pink angora yarn that she had brought over from Argentina. From then on I was hooked (pun intended) :). I've made hats for my Strawberry Shortcake dolls, crocheted an eyeglass holder for my dad, potholders for my mom, made myself a scarf... my hands haven't been idle since. In addition to this shop I also just launched EcoBabyHats which exclusively sells eco-friendly baby hats and headbands made from organic cotton yarn.
